First off:
HSCP is a Multiverse of 26 parallel universes, although most of everything is set in the main universe, Universe- A. Here we have aliens, superhumans, fantasy creatures, ghosts, robots and so much more!
It is set in a timeline where Earth experienced an Apocalypse in the 22nd Century, and the human population had to rebuild from the ground up, meaning that, in terms of technological advancements, 5019 was incredibly similar to 2019, just with different brands, musicians, world leaders, etc.
And now...the Million Intergalactic Credit Question!
HSCP was created in mid-2015 and started off as a rip-off of a lot of things. Over the years the rip-off characters and objects were eliminated and more original things were created - albeit still drawing heavy inspiration from media everywhere. Originally, it was meant to be a series of novels to be then almost immediately made into movies, until the idea of them becoming movies was ruled out, and we were just left with them being wannabe novels. Which were never finished, at all. Instead, I, the Creator, have decided to showcase the copious amounts of characters, fictional news articles and other stuff like that somewhere like here, where people will see it 👀 and maybe enjoy reading the precious and sacred L O R E.
